Let's Make a Change!
Creating a gaming industry where everyone has the same chance to succeed.
Who We Are
Humans in Games
We're a registered nonprofit built on a simple belief: skill, talent, and merit should matter more than money, connections, or checkboxes.
The gaming industry is built by people. Yet access to opportunity is often determined by factors that have nothing to do with talent—financial resources, networks, labels, or predefined categories.
We exist to change that.
Through accessible education, career pathways, and advocacy, we're working to create a space where skill, effort, and collaboration determine success. Not privilege. Not labels. Just the work.
Our Values
Talent Over Everything
- Talent shouldn't be gated by external factors
- Judge people on their work, not their identity
- Access should be easy, not hard
- Collaboration, not competition
People First, Always
- Real humans reviewing work
- Small cohorts for meaningful feedback
- Mental health and sustainability matter
- Everyone treated equally
Industry-Grounded
- Built with working professionals
- Teaching what studios actually need
- Advisory board of industry veterans
- Real skills, not just theory
Our Three-Phase Plan
We're not just running educational programs. We're building a new standard for how the industry supports its people.
Education & Advocacy
Launch accessible bootcamps and courses taught by industry professionals, helping students learn and build connections. Create workshops on sustainable careers. Advocate for better working conditions and fair treatment across the industry.
Free Job Board
Launch free job board for everyone. Members receive human-reviewed profile matching based on actual fit. Real people connecting with real opportunities.
Events & Community
Host job fairs connecting studios and talent directly. Run games showcases with no pay-to-enter barriers. Build mentorship circles and long-term career support systems.
We're in Phase One
Right now, we're building the foundation.
We're creating bootcamps and courses taught by working industry professionals. Students pay a membership of £60/year to access all bootcamps & courses, or a membership of £30/year for access to all courses. This keeps education accessible and eases entry into the industry.
The gap between student fees and instructor costs? That's where partnerships come in.

The Impact
You're funding a working industry professional to teach and connect with people. They finish with portfolios, skills, and industry connections. Real education. Real outcomes.
Why This Matters
For the industry.
There's incredible talent out there that studios never see because access isn't easy. People with the skills and drive to thrive in game development are missing the chance to show what they can do.
You need that talent. By supporting accessible education, you're building a pipeline of skilled developers who've been taught by industry professionals and are ready to contribute from day one.
Direct Talent Access
- Early portfolio access to graduates
- Candidates already networking with pros
- Skills aligned with studio needs
- Connection to motivated emerging talent
Authentic Recognition
- Listed as program sponsor
- Associated with quality education
- Demonstrated industry commitment
- Genuine impact
Industry Influence
- Shape what students learn
- Ensure training matches your needs
- Be part of raising industry standards
- Help fix the access barrier problem
Phase Two: The Job Board
What it is.
A free job board for everyone—studios and developers. No paywalls, no premium listings, no hidden advantages.
For HiG members, we add a human touch: we personally review profiles and actively match candidates with studios based on actual fit. Not keywords. Not algorithms. Real people making real connections.
How it helps you.
You'll post roles for free and get access to candidates who've been vetted by humans who understand what you're actually looking for. No more sifting through hundreds of applications filtered by ATS systems that miss qualified people.
This is talent discovery that actually works. Studios supporting Phase One will have priority access as we build Phase Two.
Phase Three: Events & Community
What it is.
Job fairs (online and in-person) where studios meet talent directly. Games showcases where developers can present their work without paying thousands in fees. Mentorship circles that provide long-term career support.
These aren't one-off events—they're ongoing infrastructure for connecting talent with opportunity.
How it helps you.
Direct access to emerging talent in settings designed for real conversation. You're not just reviewing CVs—you're meeting people, seeing their work, and evaluating them as humans, not data points.
For showcases, you'll discover projects and creators that would never surface through traditional channels. Innovation that's been overlooked because it couldn't afford visibility.
Why all three phases matter.
Education without career pathways is incomplete. Job boards without human input don't serve studios. Events without ongoing support create one-time connections instead of lasting relationships.
Together, these three phases create a complete ecosystem that supports talent from learning through career growth—while giving studios consistent access to skilled, motivated people.
Let's Build This Together
Support Phase One. Help us build the foundation for a better industry.
