Code of Conduct

1. Purpose
The Code of Conduct sets out the standards of behaviour expected of everyone involved with Humans in Games Ltd.
It applies to:
members and prospective members,
participants in events, programmes, learning, or bootcamps,
volunteers, mentors, facilitators, and contributors,
interactions on official community platforms and social spaces.
2. Our Values
Humans in Games is committed to:
inclusivity and respect,
professionalism and integrity,
collaboration and learning,
creating a safe and welcoming environment for all.
3. Expected Behaviour
All participants are expected to:
treat others with dignity, respect, and courtesy,
communicate in a professional and constructive manner,
respect different perspectives and experiences,
follow applicable laws and platform rules,
comply with Humans in Games policies and guidance.
4. Unacceptable Behaviour
The following behaviours are not tolerated:
harassment, bullying, or intimidation,
discrimination based on personal characteristics,
hate speech or abusive language,
sexual harassment or inappropriate conduct,
threats, violence, or encouragement of harm,
grooming, exploitation, or inappropriate interaction with under-18s,
sharing of illegal, explicit, or harmful content,
disruption of events, programmes, or community spaces,
misuse of Humans in Games platforms or branding.
5. Online Communities and Platforms
This Code of Conduct applies to all official Humans in Games online spaces, including but not limited to:
Discord servers,
learning platforms,
live streams, chats, and forums.
Participants are also expected to comply with the rules of any third-party platforms used.
6. Events, Learning, and Programmes
Participants in events, learning programmes, bootcamps, or mentoring activities must:
follow facilitator instructions,
respect boundaries and safeguarding measures,
engage in a constructive and professional manner.
Humans in Games reserves the right to remove participants from activities where behaviour breaches this Code.
7. Safeguarding
Humans in Games operates a 16+ policy.
Additional safeguarding measures apply to:
participants aged 16–17,
learning environments,
community spaces.
Any behaviour that raises safeguarding concerns will be addressed in line with the Safeguarding Policy.
8. Reporting Concerns
Concerns or breaches of this Code of Conduct can be reported confidentially to:

Reports will be taken seriously and handled proportionately.
9. Enforcement
Breaches of this Code of Conduct may result in:
warnings,
temporary suspension from activities or community spaces,
removal from events or programmes,
termination of membership,
referral to relevant authorities where required by law.
Actions taken will be proportionate to the severity of the breach.
10. No Retaliation
Humans in Games does not tolerate retaliation against anyone who reports concerns in good faith.
11. Review
This Code of Conduct may be updated from time to time. The most current version will be published on the Humans in Games website.
